When someone says, “small Class C RV,” many picture modest rigs with limited off-grid capacity. But what if your “small” RV could be a bold statement in sustainable exploration? What if that compact footprint concealed serious power, insulation, and technology? Enter AEONrv, the 22-foot, all-season Class C RV with a fully electric cabin. Designed, engineered, and built in Reno, Nevada, AEONrv combines advanced technology with rugged capability to deliver a smarter, cleaner way to travel off-grid.
We built AEONrv for those who demand more: more endurance, more performance, more freedom, without compromise. We combine rugged overlanding DNA with a delicate balance of engineering ingenuity, energy efficiency, and no-propane, low-footprint living.
Compact but Capable: Why 22 Feet Isn’t a Weakness
At 22 feet long, AEONrv strikes the ideal balance between agility and livability. Its compact footprint fits easily through tight trailheads, city streets, and national park sites — yet inside, it’s spacious enough for extended travel. But our footprint still houses a full dynamic system: private queen bed, convertible dinette, full kitchen, private bath, and a heated gear garage.
Every square inch is optimized. The resulting layout feels open, functional, and uncompromising, no marginal nooks, no wasted cavities. You can go off-grid in rugged terrain without being saddled with a giant, gas-guzzling behemoth.
All-Electric Cabin: What That Really Means
We refer to the “electric cabin” not because we replaced the drive engine, but because the living quarters are fully electric, free of propane, and designed for self-sufficiency.
● Battery Base: The 2025 AEONrv comes standard with a 10.9 kWh 24-volt BattleBorn LiFePO₄ battery pack (upgradeable to 13.6 kWh).
● Solar Harvest: 800 W of rigid solar panels feed the battery system via Victron 100/30 MPPT controllers.
● Inverter / Charger: A 3,000 VA Victron inverter/charger handles both off-grid loads and shore power transitions.
● Smart Monitoring & Control: The Victron Cerbo GX admin system, with touch screen, mobile access, and remote monitoring, gives you full control over the energy system.
● Alternator Charging: If needed, the alternator system can pump up to ~1.6 kW of battery charging while driving, helping recharge on the move.
Everything electrical, like the lighting, climate systems, pumps, and fans, draws from that battery bank. We eliminated propane, so no gas tanks, no flammable storage, and no switchovers. The cabin feels like an off-grid smart home on wheels.
Thermal Performance & Insulation: Fight the Extremes
If your RV overheats under desert sun or freezes in snowy summits, you’re living with a compromise. At AEONrv, we demand thermal resilience.
● R-15 Average Insulation: Our walls, roof, and floor panels achieve average R-15 insulation (higher in some areas), far beyond what many conventional rigs deliver.
● No Structural Stud Heat Bridges: We eliminate typical aluminum stud framing, using continuous laminated panels and industrial adhesives to avoid thermal breaks.
● Dual Pane Acrylic Windows with Shades & Screens: Lockable, insulated, bug-screened, shaded windows maintain comfort without gimmicks.
● Climate Systems:
• A whisper-quiet 9,000 BTU mini-split with heat pump handles cooling (and heating) down to –13 °F.
• For deep cold, we include an Espar (or equivalent) ducted gas-fueled heater tied into the system, rated for operation to –50 °F.
● Heated & Insulated Storage / Garage: Your gear, bikes, and water systems live in a heated, insulated 65+ cu. ft. garage that ensures nothing freezes.
So, whether you’re crossing deserts, climbing into alpine snows, or camping lakeside in shoulder seasons, the thermal envelope holds strong. No more “cook inside on cool nights; suffocate in summer.” AEONrv gives you year-round comfort.
Off-Road & Rugged Chassis: Performance Underneath
Engineered for overlanding, AEONrv doesn’t settle for stock. We start with a capable chassis and upgrade aggressively.
● Base Chassis: Ford Transit 1-Ton SRW AWD cutaway (156” wheelbase) with 9,950 lb GVWR.
● Engine & Transmission: 3.5 L EcoBoost V6 (306 HP, 400 lb-ft torque) with 10-speed overdrive automatic.
● Drive Modes: AWD with dedicated Mud / Ruts mode and Ford’s traction system.
● Suspension & Tires: Van Compass 2” lift, coil/leaf upgrades, Falcon-tuned shocks, KO3 all-terrain tires, skid plates, heavy-duty bumpers, and recovery points.
● Gear Mounts & Recovery Infrastructure: L-track rails, exterior recovery mounts, rockers built for abuse.
● Power & Charging Upgrades: Options for fast-idle alternator charging, higher alternator output, and marine-grade electrical cabling throughout.
In short, you can chase the wild, not worry whether your rig will survive. AEONrv endures.
Real-World Functionality: Systems You Will Use Every Day
It’s one thing to spec exciting features. It’s another to deliver systems that feel intuitive and workable in real life. AEONrv nails both.
Kitchen & Cooking
A marine-grade 6.8 cu ft refrigerator (dual compressor, dual thermostat) keeps food safe and efficient. The induction cooktop is efficient, quiet, and safer than propane; use it inside or outside. A pull-out pantry, solid-surface counters, drawer storage, and European cabinetry maximize functionality in a compact package.
Bath / Wet Room
The wet bath in AEONrv doubles as a practical mudroom, perfect for cleaning up after hikes, skiing, or off-road excursions. The space includes a flip-up sink, a cassette or compostable toilet, and an inside/outside shower—so you can rinse off gear, pets, or wash up in comfort after a long day outdoors.
An integrated Espar heat vent turns the bath into a drying room, allowing wet clothing, boots, and towels to dry quickly in cold or damp conditions. A ceiling-mounted clothing line provides a convenient place to hang gear, creating a compact but efficient dry room that keeps moisture and mess contained.
Waterproof finishes, intelligent drainage, and an Isotemp marine-grade water heater ensure reliable hot water even when you’re hundreds of miles from the nearest hookup.
Sleeping & Living
You get a real 60" x 80" queen bed with a 6" cool gel mattress. Steps (heavy-duty drawers) lead up to the bed. The dinette seats four, has seatbelts, and the Lagun-style table can shift orientation, perfect for work or meals. Skylights, LED lighting, privacy shades, and ventilation fans complete the atmosphere.
Water & Filtration
With 59 gallons of fresh water and a 25-gallon grey tank, you can stay remote for days. Plumbing is PEX-A, with a 0.2 µm two-stage water filter, and dual-mode hot water heating (engine coolant or 115V / 750W). Systems include freeze protection for colder climates.
Smart Connectivity & Controls
Cab systems include a 12" touchscreen infotainment interface with navigation, FordPass remote features, and over-the-air safety systems. Starlink readiness, remote monitoring via Victron, and modular wiring make future upgrades feasible.
All these systems are built to be field-repairable or modular; we avoid exotic one-off parts. That’s the kind of pragmatism that balances bold innovation with real-world use.
Sustainability & Efficiency: What Sets Our Ethos
In designing AEONrv, we embraced sustainability as a core principle, not just a checkbox.
● Propane-free comfort: No propane systems means no emissions, no gas storage, no safety risk, no refills.
● High-efficiency systems: Everything from the inverter to the mini-split and lighting is chosen for energy per watt, not glam.
● Solar-first architecture: The rig is designed to run its systems off solar, with alternator and shore power backup, not the other way around.
● Longevity & maintainability: Built with marine-grade wiring, industrial adhesives, and bonded cabinetry, AEONrv is engineered to handle vibration, temperature swings, and rough terrain without the wear and tear common in mass-produced RVs.
● Local vertical integration: Every AEONrv is built in-house in our Reno, NV facility. That means tighter quality control, lower waste, and better supply chain oversight.
● Refinability: As battery tech or materials evolve, we can retrofit. Our modular architecture means your AEONrv can evolve with you.
In short, we’re not chasing green credentials as a marketing gimmick. We build sustainability into every layer.
How AEONrv Outpaces Other RVs
Many RV builders lean on half-hearted features or retrofit add-ons. AEONrv is designed from the ground up with modern, sustainable, rugged performance. Here’s how we rise above the typical:
● True all-season thermal envelope vs. patchwork insulation in most rigs
● Full lithium + solar + inverter architecture vs. hybrid/propane fallback systems
● No propane reliance, most RVs still lean on gas for heat, cooking, and hot water
● Rugged off-road chassis upgrades baked in vs. optional bolt-ons or soft suspensions
● Vertically controlled build with full quality oversight vs. third-party supply chain patchwork
● Smart systems first; we didn’t bolt on Tec stuff later; control, monitoring, and modular design are core from Day One
● Focus on longevity & maintainability; we build for 20+ year service lives, not quick cosmetic wins
● Data-driven design; we listen to usage, performance, customer input, and iterate, not just ride buzzwords
In short: AEONrv is engineered, not assembled.
Use Cases & Scenarios: Where AEONrv Shines
Here are a few real-world scenarios where AEONrv’s design advantages become your freedom:
1. High-altitude winter alpine trips: With an average R-15 insulation, mini-split + aux heat, and low-temperature design, you stay toasty even at altitude.
2. Extended boondocking in desert sun: 800 W solar, high-efficiency load management, and smart battery control can power lights, climate, fridge for days on sunny runs.
3. Remote forest roads: Compact length + AWD + lifted suspension = you can reach backcountry trailheads that giant rigs can’t.
4. Nomadic work on the move: The dinette shifts into a standing desk, remote control for the HVAC systems lets you manage interior climate while hiking or driving.
5. Gear-heavy adventurers: With over 65 cu ft of heated garage space, bikes, e-bikes, boards, climbing gear, skis, everything fits cleanly under cover.
6. Cold-weather edge cases: Travel through snowpack, freeze zones, and subzero nights, your rig still performs, thanks to full system design.
That’s not marketing fluff. The 2025 AEONrv has been tested, previewed at Overland Expos, and acknowledged as a serious contender in the next-gen RV space.
The Story Behind AEONrv: Innovation with Guts
AEONrv was born from frustration. Our founder’s experience with rental RVs exposed the cracks: cheap materials, rattling walls, weak systems, lack of integration. He asked: Why shouldn’t an RV feel like a refined off-grid home, built with precision and longevity?
Today, every AEONrv is built under our roof in Reno. We aren’t outsourcing the “cute parts” and hoping they stick. We own the design from panel to wiring to finish. That vertical integration gives us absolute control over quality, iteration speed, and innovation.
We invest in the data: we log energy performance, thermal behavior, and structural integrity. Our owners become co-designers through feedback loops. Every new AEONrv is better than the last, not by superficial styling tweaks, but by performance enhancements. That’s how you build a legacy, not a fad.
Go Where Others Don’t
The 22-foot small Class C RV with an all-electric cabin might sound like a contradiction. But AEONrv demonstrates you don’t need to sacrifice, downsize, or compromise. You can have compact agility, rugged chassis, full off-grid energy systems, extreme-temperature performance, and sustainable architecture, all wrapped into one ridiculously capable machine.
This is more than an RV; it’s a platform for freedom, a launchpad for bold exploration, and a living proof that green technology and adventure can coexist. We’re not asking you to accept limits. We’re giving you tools to push boundaries.
