AEONrv at the Lonestar Overland Adventure Expo and Powersports Show 2026
Austin, Texas is one of the best cities in the country for the overlanding and adventure community. The Lonestar Overland Adventure Expo and Powersports Show brings that community together every year, and in 2026, AEONrv was on the floor at Booth 564.
Here is a look at what happened, what people asked, and where we are headed next.
What Is the Lonestar Overland Adventure Expo?
The Lonestar Overland Adventure Expo and Powersports Show is an annual event held in Austin, Texas. It draws off-road enthusiasts, overlanders, adventure travelers, and powersports riders from across the south and beyond.
Unlike traditional RV shows, this event attracts buyers who are planning backcountry routes, ski seasons, and extended off-grid expeditions. The crowd knows their gear and asks the right questions.
It is one of the best overlanding expos in the southern United States and a natural fit for the AEONrv community.
AEONrv at the Show
We brought a full production AEONrv to Booth 564 for attendees to walk through in person.
The AEONrv is an all-season, electric cabin, off-road adventure RV built on a Ford Transit AWD chassis. It sits in a category of its own, combining the size and maneuverability of a Class B camper van with the power systems and off-road capability of a purpose-built expedition vehicle.
Key features attendees explored at the booth:
- Electric cabin architecture with no propane and no generator
- 10.9 kWh LiFePO4 lithium battery system with 800W solar and alternator charging
- Ford Transit AWD with 2-inch lifted suspension, Falcon shocks, BFGoodrich KO3 all-terrain tires, and steel skid plates
- Permanent queen bed and private bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower
- 9K BTU mini-split for all-season climate control
- 65 cubic foot heated rear gear garage for bikes, skis, and overland gear
- Composite panel construction with R-15 insulation, built more like a yacht than a traditional RV
The AEONrv is the kind of vehicle that is easier to understand when you are standing inside it.
What Attendees Asked
The overlanding community at Lonestar is well-researched. The most common questions at our booth:
How does the electric cabin perform in cold climates? The AEONrv uses a 9K BTU mini-split for heating and cooling and an Espar heater as a backup, drawing from the vehicle's main fuel tank. Combined with composite panels and R-15 insulation, the rig is designed for year-round use in extreme conditions.
How long can the AEONrv stay off-grid? The standard 10.9 kWh LiFePO4 battery system, 800W solar array, and alternator charging system support extended off-grid stays. The system is upgradeable to 13.6 kWh for longer expeditions.
How does it compare to a Class B van conversion? The AEONrv offers a permanent queen bed, private bathroom, full kitchen, and a large gear garage in a package that most Class B vans cannot match. The Ford Transit AWD platform adds genuine off-road capability that most van conversions do not have out of the box.
Why Overlanding Expos Matter for the AEONrv Community
Buying a $224,500 adventure RV is not an impulse decision. Buyers want to see the build quality, ask technical questions, and understand what they are getting before they commit.
Overlanding expos are where those conversations happen. The Lonestar Overland Adventure Expo brings together exactly the audience AEONrv is built for: outdoor enthusiasts, early technology adopters, and adventure travelers who want real off-grid capability without sacrificing comfort or build quality.
These events are one of the most valuable touchpoints in the AEONrv buying process.
